Hosting and maintenance do different jobs

Hosting makes your website available online. Maintenance is the work of keeping it updated and dealing with faults. We agree on both based on your platform, access and needs.

  • Hosting and SSL

If Veyro hosts your website, hosting and SSL are part of the agreement we make with you. We first check whether your current setup can be moved and what access is needed.

  • Updates, backups and faults

We help with updates, backups, monitoring and faults. The quote sets out what we maintain and what your platform or other providers continue to handle.

  • Small changes and a regular contact

Small changes can be included in maintenance. We agree on the scope beforehand and respond to enquiries within 24–48 hours on business days. Response time means time to a reply, not a promise that a fault will be resolved.

  • A quote with a clear scope

New functionality, larger changes and third-party licences and subscriptions are agreed separately. Read our service levels for hosting and support and have the specific scope set out in your quote.

Web hosting, domains and email — what is the difference?

Web hosting is the technical space where your website runs. The domain is the address customers type into their browser. Email on your domain is a separate service, such as contact@yourcompany.dk. The three parts can be managed by different providers.

At Veyro, we agree on hosting and maintenance based on your website. Domains and email are not included in our website packages. You can use your own domain, buy one through us for an additional fee or use a free address such as yourname.veyro.dk.

Before a move, we establish who manages the domain and email, and which settings need to stay in place. Changing your website host does not necessarily mean changing your email provider.

How to take the next step with your website

  1. Send a link

Tell us which platform your site uses, where it is hosted and what you need help with. Include any faults or specific requirements.

  2. Agree on maintenance and any move

We clarify access, tasks, price and responsibilities. If the site needs to move, we also agree on the domain, any email setup, timing and testing before anything changes.

  3. Follow up on the agreed setup

When a site moves, we check the agreed pages and features. We then maintain the website within the agreed scope, and you know who to contact.

Questions about website hosting

What does hosting with Veyro cost?

Hosting and maintenance for an existing website have a fixed monthly price based on a quote. The price depends on the site and the tasks we take on. Hosting and maintenance are already included in our Website, Booking and Online Store packages. See the current package prices.

Do we have to leave our current hosting provider?

No. We can also agree on maintenance with your current provider. What is possible depends on the platform and the access you can give us. A Shopify store continues to be hosted by Shopify; there we help with themes, features and integrations.

Will new hosting make a slow website fast?

Hosting is only one part of website speed. Images, scripts, themes and plugins can also slow a site down. If speed is the issue, we can start with website optimisation and measurements before you decide to move.

Can we get a new website with hosting?

Yes. If you need a new site, our Website package brings together design, setup, hosting and technical maintenance. If you need online appointments or product sales, read about Booking and Online Store.

What do you need to prepare a hosting quote?

Send your website link, the name of the current provider and the platform you use, if you know it. Tell us about contact forms, booking, your online shop or integrations that need to keep working. We can then assess whether the site can be moved or whether maintenance with the current provider is the better option. We agree on access and any move before work starts.

Who looks after your website today?

Send us the link and tell us what you would like someone else to handle. We will assess the options and get back to you with the next steps.
